Good cleaning habits : Good Cleaning Habits that Will Make Your House Spic and Span

It is quite difficult these days to maintain a clean house with all the hustle and bustle of everyday living. But to keep a house clean, all you need are good cleaning habits that will make the task not appear to be such a chore.

Here are some tips for good cleaning habits;

1. Clean as you wait There are several opportunities for you to get some cleaning tasks done through out the day. As you wait for the coffee to brew, why not sweep your floor or clear the dishwasher. Instead of going blank while waiting for something, you can do small cleaning tasks and soon you’ll see that you have cleaned the entire house.

2. Accomplish one small cleaning task just before you go to bed Right before you lock your doors and head to your bedroom, do just one more easy cleaning task such as returning your magazines to the rack, or wiping your microwave down. These will help you get ahead, even if it’s just one step, so that tomorrow you have less cleaning to do.

3. Clean more frequently even if you don’t see dirt It won’t take long for you to clean, say, your kitchen if you wait for clutter and crumbs to pile up. If you do cleaning jobs, such as sweeping, more frequently, dirt won’t pile up to the point that it’s more difficult and time consuming to clean up. This way you’ll spend less time each time you clean.

4. Clean as you see dirt As soon as you see crumbs on the floor or paper clippings on the table, get rid of them immediately. Again, waiting for clutter to pile up will make cleaning more difficult. Making a habit of cleaning makes the job more a part of your life than a dreaded chore.

5. Clean as you talk Instead of just sitting while you’re on the phone, why not do some mindless cleaning tasks such as picking up trash or folding clothes. Buy one those cordless handsets so that you can go about your conversation with your hands free. You can just roam around the house as you talk and do your chores at the same time, except for vacuuming, of course.

Good cleaning habits aren’t difficult to develop. Just doing things little-by-little will help achieve great results and, of course, a clean house.
